Former councillor with a passion for charity passes away
Former Harrow Council member Peter Hamill has died following a period of illness. He was elected in a Marlborough Ward by-election in 1980 and lost his seat in the Council Elections in 1982.

Council extends Covid self-isolation safety net
All low earners likely to qualify for £500 support. 16 to 18-year-olds get £300 incentive payment. Harrow Council today confirmed it was making funding available to help its least well off residents cope with the cost of self-isolation.

Harrow Council successful in £7.4m bid to rejuvenate Wealdstone
Harrow Council has been successful in a bid for £7,448,583, which will be used to fund the construction of a pedestrian bridge linking Harrow View East housing development and Wealdstone town centre.

Covid-19 surge testing in schools to protect our community
Testing for the B1.167.2 Covid-19 variant of concern, is to take place at school and college sites in Harrow. This is in addition to the rapid lateral flow testing already taking place and allows us to see if the variant is present in any positive tests.
