Celebrate 60 Years of Harrow

60 Years of harrow white stamp

Join us as we commemorate 60 incredible years since Harrow became a London borough in 1965.

Celebrating the 60th Anniversary is one of 30 flagship actions set out in our corporate plan to put residents first. The milestone marks a significant moment in our history, and we're excited to share it with you through a series of events and activities taking place across the borough.

A journey of transformation

Harrow has undergone remarkable transformations over 60 years. From The Who performing at Churchill Hall and the bustling Kodak factory in Wealdstone to today's culturally diverse community, award-winning parks, and excellent schools. Harrow has continually evolved while preserving its unique character.

Running now until the end of the year, there are a series of events and activities that celebrate our rich history, identity and vibrant community we are today.  These include cultural exhibitions, performances, heritage projects, and community-led initiatives, offering an opportunity for all to get involved.
