Homes for Harrow

Harrow's diverse population continues to grow. This has made our job challenging. We must ensure we meet growing housing demand.

We have committed to an ambitious home building programme. This will increase the supply of high-quality, affordable homes. We hope that this improves the lives of local people and families in Harrow.

This work will also improve our current estates. It is the first programme of its kind for more than 25 years.

We continue to find space on our current estates. These spaces give us potential to redevelop. We are also looking at our under-used garage areas.

Grange Farm estate

Grange Farm estate is located in South Harrow. The proposal is to build 549 new homes and a new community hub at its heart. It is currently our largest regeneration project in the borough.

Brookside Close

Brookside Close is located in the south of the borough. We are constructing 9 new homes, 5, 2 bedroom houses and 4, 2 bedroom flats in addition to a community centre within the Brookside Close Estate. This has been made possible by demolishing some existing garage blocks. These properties are fully electric with air source heat pumps and solar panels. This project is due for completion in Autumn 2025.

Chichester Court

Chichester Court estate is located in Queensbury.   We completed the build of 26 new council homes for rent on the estate to help meet the needs of local people in 2022. The scheme provides a mix of high-quality homes designed for families of different sizes, comprising of 1-bedroom homes (x3), 2-bedroom homes (x15), 3-bedroom houses (x6), and 4-bedroom houses (x2).

Charles Crescent

This new development now called Kings Close is located in West Harrow, between Charles Crescent and Lascelles Avenue and is a short walk to Harrow town centre.  The development consists of 2 terraced three-bedroom homes, and 3, three-bedroom detached homes. Each unit has its own private garden and parking space. These properties are fully electric with air source heat pumps, solar panels and solar batteries. This development has been made possible by demolishing some existing garage blocks. This project is due for completion in Autumn 2025.
