Subscribe to a Garden Waste plan

Garden Waste stickers - If you have signed up to the Garden Waste service and are awaiting your sticker(s), the crew will collect your garden waste as they will know that you are a subscriber.

The Garden Waste subscription is the collection service of your brown garden waste bin every two weeks.

There are two Garden Waste subscription plans you can subscribe to:

Annual subscription plan

We collect your brown bin(s) every two weeks between April 2021 and March 2022.

You can sign up for Annual subscription plan until 29th October 2021 (full fee applies for late sign ups)

Summer subscription plan

We collect your brown bin(s) every two weeks between April 2021 and October 2021.

You can sign up for Summer subscription plan until 30th June 2021 (full fee applies for late sign ups)

There are also plans for residents who receive Council Tax support.

Full rate subscription plan fees:

You can only subscribe to Garden Waste for up to the number of bins you have at your property. You may order extra bins on the subscription form should you need them.

What happens after I subscribe to a Garden Waste plan?

Once you’ve subscribed, you’ll receive a confirmation of your payment and given a garden waste reference number (which will start with the letters: SR).

Please keep this in a safe place as you may need it in future.

If you have decided that you no longer wish to use the service, you can get a full refund as long as you let us know within 14 days of you subscribing and paying.

There will be no refunds if you cancel after 14 days.

What do I need to do on my collection days?

On your collection days please make sure you:

  • Place the correct garden waste content in the brown bin, you can check our what goes in what bin guide if you are unsure. 
  • Try not to press and pack your bin full of garden waste, if the contents are stuck or make the bin too heavy, it may not be emptied properly.
  • Put your brown bin out on the edge of your property from 6:00am on the day of the collection.
  • If you are unable to put your bin out on your collection day and you live on your own, please consider using our assisted collection service to help you. If you already have an assisted collection, this will automatically be included for garden waste.

How can I cancel my Garden Waste subscription?

You can cancel your subscription within 14 days after you sign up by using our Garden Waste cancellation form.  A refund will be made within 10 working days.

After the 14-day cancellation period, we will not refund the cost of the service, even if you no longer require the service.

If you are part way through your subscription plan you may cancel the service but please note you will not be eligible for a refund after 14 days.
