You can order new or extra bins for your household. Some common reasons for wanting to order bins are:
- you are a new Harrow resident
- your bin has been damaged beyond repair
- your bin has gone missing or has been taken
- you have run out of space and need an extra bin.
Order a new bin
You can order a new bin of any bin type online including:
- General waste bin (green or grey)
- Recycling waste bin (blue)
Need a new or extra Garden waste bin?
You can order a new Garden waste bin if you have an active Garden waste plan. To order a new Garden waste bin, enter your address on our bins page. Then go to the 'My Garden waste tab' to view your options. New garden waste bins cost £39.40.
Still waiting for your new bin?
Your new bin(s) will be delivered within 4 weeks. If you haven't got your bins after 4 weeks, you can ask for an update to your order. You will need:
- your order reference number
- your payment authorisation code (in your confirmation email)
- the date of your order
- your address details.
What are the different bin sizes?
Our bins are available in 2 sizes: standard and slimline. Both bin sizes cost £91
Standard sized bins have a capacity of 240 litres. Their dimensions are 1060 mm (H), 570 mm (W) and 720 mm (D).
Slimline sized bins have a capacity of 140 litres. Their dimensions are 1070 mm (H), 480 mm (W) and 560 mm (D).
The bin types listed below are available in the following sizes:
- General waste bin (green or grey) standard only.
- Recycling waste bin (blue) both standard and slimline.
- Garden waste bin (brown) standard only.
- Food waste bin for flats (red) both standard and slimline.
- Food waste kitchen caddy, 7 litre capacity. This is for indoor use only. You will need to transfer the waste into the 23 litre bin for collection.
- Food waste bin (black), 23 litre capacity. This can be stored outdoors for collection.
Can I order new bins if I live in a flat?
If you have shared communal bins you cannot order bins online. If you have issues with your communal bins, we recommend that you speak to your flat's management team.
If you have the use of household waste bins in your flat you can order new bins online.

Can I order a replacement Garden waste bin?
Yes, you can order a replacement Garden waste bin. Enter your postcode on our bins page. Go to the Garden waste tab and choose the new bin order option.
Order an extra General waste bin
You can order an extra General waste bin only if there are five or more people living in your household. When ordering, you will need to provide:
- the names of all residents living in your household
- the ages of all residents living in your household.
Order a free Food bin or caddy
Food waste bins and caddies are free. You can order them online. To make an order you will need:
- To choose whether you want a 23 litre Food waste bin (for outside) or a 7 litre Food waste caddy (for inside).
- To provide your personal details including your delivery address within Harrow.
Your bin(s) will be delivered within 4 weeks.
Order an extra General waste bin (healthcare)
To order an extra bin for your healthcare items you will need to:
- upload a letter to confirm that you need an additional waste bin for medical purposes. This can be from your GP or from Harrow Carers.
