What happens after you subscribe to garden waste?
Once you’ve subscribed, you’ll receive a confirmation of your payment and given a garden waste reference number (which will start with the letters: SR). Please keep this in a safe place as you may need it in future.
If you signed up before 7th March 2020 you will receive your letter and label to stick on your bin the week commencing the 16th March 2020.
If you signed up after this date your label will be sent the week of the 4th May 2020. If you still haven’t received the sticker you can request one online.
When you receive your label be sure to stick it on the front of your brown bin as explained in your letter. If you did not receive or do not have a sticker you can request one online.
If you have decided that you no longer wish to use the service, you can get a full refund as long as you let us know within 14 days of you subscribing and paying.
There will be no refunds if you cancel after 14 days.
On your collection days please make sure you:
- Place the correct garden waste content in the brown bin. Check our what goes in what bin guide if you are unsure. Try not to press and pack your bin full of garden waste. If the contents are stuck or make the bin too heavy, it may not be emptied properly. Also remember in winter to ensure your content in the bin is loose before collection.
- Put your brown bin out on the edge of your property from 6:00am on the day of the collection. For more information please check out our guide.
If you are unable to put your bin out on your collection day and you live on your own, please consider using our assisted collection service to help you. If you already have an assisted collection, this will automatically be included for garden waste.
