Diversity monitoring is a process used to collect, store and analyse information about our staff, service users and communities.
It provides valuable management information that can be used to address any inequalities or assert the fairness of the services we provide to the wider community as well as in our employment and training practices.
For further information please see our Diversity Monitoring Leaflet.
To ensure consistency in monitoring across the council we have, through consultation with directorates, stakeholders and service users, adopted a set of Diversity Monitoring Categories.
Stonewall have also produced a booklet to explain diversity monitoring.
