Public questions and answers

What happens at the meetings?

  1. Questions to the Chair or Portfolio Holder will be asked in the order in which they were received.
  2. The Chair or Portfolio Holder to whom the question has been put may arrange for another Councillor to answer on his or her behalf.
  3. You will be invited by the Chair to read your question at the meeting. The Councillor will provide a verbal response or might undertake to provide you with a written response after the meeting.
  4. You may ask one supplementary question directly relating to the content of the answer given to your written question.
  5. A question which cannot be dealt with during public question time due to a lack of time, will be dealt with by written answer. Answers to questions not reached at a meeting will also be posted on the website.
  6. Questions and answers are audio and video recorded.
  7. The recording will be placed on the Council’s website (www.harrow.gov.uk/virtualmeeting) as soon as practicable after the meeting.
