The Mayor of London & London Assembly elections will take place on Thursday 6 May 2021. They represent the interests of Londoners.
London has one Mayor and 25 Assembly Members. At the election you will be able to cast a vote for a Mayor, an Assembly Member, and a political party.
What does the Mayor of London do?
The Mayor runs London; from policing and housing to environment and transport.
The Assembly holds the Mayor to account on your behalf. It is made up of 14 Constituency Members who represent different areas of London. There are also 11 London-wide members who represent the city as a whole.
