Appealing a planning application

What happens after I make an appeal?

Once you have submitted your appeal to the Planning Inspectorate they will then take over any decision-making rights in relation to your application and will either agree or disagree with the original decision London Borough of Harrow made.

The Planning Inspectorate will be the only party able to inform you of how long the process is likely to take.

Communication throughout the appeals process will be directly between you and the Planning Inspectorate.

They will alert us to the fact that you have started the appeal process and we will publish that your application has gone for appeal on our website.

When the planning inspectorate have reached their decision, they will get in touch with both parties separately to inform them of their decision.

Once we receive their decision, we will also display this publicly on our website.

If your appeal is refused, then the original decision will still stand however in the event your appeal is granted you will then be able to commence with the work outlined in your original planning application.

The latest appeals received and decided can be viewed on the appeals register.
