Licensed Premises Gaming Machine permits and notifications

Permits can only be used for premises licensed under the Licensing Act 2003. They can sell alcohol for consumption on the premises.

You'll need to apply for a gaming machine permit if you want to provide more than 2 category C or D gaming machines.

You'll need to submit a notification if you want to have no more than 2 category C or D gaming machines.

You will need a MyHarrow account to apply for a permit or notification in Harrow. If you do not have an account or this is your first time using this new service:

To apply for a Licensed Premises Gaming Machine permit you will need:

  • a method of payment for the fee of £100.

What happens next?

  • The first annual fee, which is currently £50, must be paid within 30 days of the permit being granted. You will be sent a link and reference number to submit this payment by the Licensing team.
  • Annual fees must be paid on the anniversary the permit was granted. A reminder will be sent out in advance to make this payment.
  • To submit an annual fee payment, you will need to register for a MyHarrow account and add your licence to your account.
  • How to add your licence to your account: Check your email for a message from noreply@harrow.gov.uk requesting you to add your licence. Follow the instructions in the email to complete the process.
  • Didn’t Receive the email? Please check your junk and spam folder. If you still can’t locate the email, complete a licence enquiry to update your information and request the email.

  • a method of payment for the fee of £50.

What happens next?

  • The notification is valid for as long as the notifier continues to hold the premises licence for the venue. It will only lapse if the alcohol licence is transferred to another person, or if the alcohol licence itself lapses.
