Impersonation of London Borough of Harrow
Like all businesses, there is a risk that criminals may try and impersonate council staff or services.
Please be cautious about giving out any personal information or financial information unless you are confident you are communicating with the council.
If you have any suspicions that the person you are communicating with is not who they say they are, please contact general enquiries and ask to verify the employee and the team.
Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN)/ Penalty Charge Notices (PCN)
The council will never send a group text message about payment of a fine. To check if a fine is legitimate, contact the team to verify and challenge this. You will be able to see any PCNs online via Pay a PCN or FPNs via Fixed Penalty Notices.
Unrecognised transactions
If you believe money has been taken from your account and do not recognise this, you must report this to your bank and ask them to investigate. CAFT cannot investigate this.
