Budgets and spending reports
It is important to us to be open and transparent with how we spend your money. This is why since January 2011 we have been publishing reports to show spend information to suppliers for goods and services over £500.
The spend data has been taken from the council's financial system and shows the gross amount, including VAT (Value Added Tax). We recover VAT from HM Revenue and Customs, so the true cost to the council will be the figure quoted minus 20%. Please note that the December 2010 figures were calculated at the old VAT rate of 17.5%.
The spend data has been published in two formats, CSV (machine readable format) for easier reuse and analysis and PDF (portable document formats) which is easier to read and printer friendly.
