The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted-registered early years providers must follow the EYFS, including childminders, preschools, nurseries and school reception.

The Harrow Early Years Team are here to support all early years practitioners working in childcare and early years education. High quality childcare, play opportunities and early education are crucial for young children to get the best possible start in life. What we do for parents and carers
The EYFS framework gives parents and carers the confidence that regardless of what choice they make for their child’s early education, the same statutory commitments and principles will be applied. The Harrow Early Years team work with settings to ensure that they meet a high standard of education for children aged 0-5.
We work in close partnership with other childcare and early intervention services in Harrow to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
