Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972
When considering any potential disposal of council-owned land that forms part of an “open space”, the council must advertise the intention to do so in two consecutive weeks in a local newspaper. The council must also consider any objections to the proposed disposal that may be made to it.
