New Year, new winner - £2,000 Harrow lottery win

My Yard

The new year has started on a high for one Harrow Wins lottery player, who has won £2,000 while supporting local charity My Yard.

Money raised through Harrow Wins helps My Yard continue its vital work, supporting local people with food, warmth and wellbeing.

One recent project is the Tuesday Men’s Club, set up to support men who were feeling stressed, lonely and socially isolated. The weekly sessions at Northolt Warm Hub now welcome around 12 to 15 regular members in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Running from 2pm to 5pm, the sessions offer hot drinks and snacks, shared cooking, light fitness and boxing pad work. There are also occasional outings and guest speakers on health and wellbeing. The club has already helped boost confidence, encourage healthier habits and connect men with support.

Cllr Janet Mote, Cabinet Member for Community and Culture said:

“Congratulations to the £2,000 winner and thank you to everyone who plays Harrow Wins. This lottery helps local charities like My Yard support people who really need it. Every ticket makes a difference, and it is great to see such a positive start to the new year.”

Looking ahead, My Yard hopes to expand the Men’s Club with more outings and positive activities to keep members motivated and connected.

Harrow Wins is a vital fundraising platform for charities and community groups across the borough. At least 60% of every £1 ticket sold goes directly to good causes in Harrow, with players also in with a chance of winning up to £25,000 every week.

This win shows how playing Harrow Wins supports both players and the local community.
