Following the Bondi Beach attack, our thoughts are with the victims, their families and all those affected.
Cllr Paul Osborn, Leader of the Council said:
“We are deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the terrorist attack on a Jewish community gathering to mark the first day of Chanukah at Bondi Beach in Australia. Our thoughts are with the victims, and all who are affected.
“We know many residents within our Jewish community will be feeling anxious. Here in Harrow, we are in regular contact with the police and continue to work closely with our Jewish community during this important time.”
The Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) remains in close contact with local police and authorities and stands ready to support British nationals affected.
