Harrow lights up for Christmas, Winter Wonderland to be hosted in the town centre with fun filled day for families with Santa’s Grotto, Peppa Pig and Bluey.
It’s almost Christmas! And that means it’s time to switch on our Christmas lights! The Mayor, Cllr Anjana Patel will be lighting up some of our high streets across the borough over the coming weeks, with the annual ‘Christmas light switch-on’ celebrations:
- Harrow Town Centre: Saturday 29 November, 5.45pm Station Road (Christmas Street Party 11am-7pm)
- Stanmore: Tuesday 2 December, 5pm, The Broadway
- Rayners Lane: Wednesday 3 December 6pm, Rayners Lane Triangle
- Hatch End: Thursday 4 December, 4pm, The Broadway
- Sudbury Hill: Thursday 4 December 5:30pm, Greenford Road, by Sudbury Hill tube Station
- North Harrow: Friday 5 December 5pm,Junction of Pinner Road and Station
The festivities will see the Town Centre transformed into a winter wonderland
to host a huge Christmas Street Party* from 11am until 7pm. And will be a free fun filled day for all to enjoy. (funfair rides are payable)
Organised by the Harrow Town Centre Bid team, families will get the chance to meet Bluey, Peppa Pig and, Santa. With a big wheel, snow globe, helter skelter, performances, laser show, and much more - there will be plenty of fun for everyone.
The Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Anjana Patel said:

The lights serve as a symbol of unity among the many faiths and communities that make up Harrow, reflecting the shared values that strengthen and enrich our borough. I look forward to joining our residents at the Christmas light events as we come together to celebrate the beginning of the festive season.”
Station Road – between College Road and Sheepcote Road - will be closed from 9pm on Friday 28 November to 10.30pm on Saturday 29 November to set up for the street party. This event is part of the Harrow High Street funding.
