More than 250 local people took home advice, tips and information at Harrow’s recent jobs fair. Over 50 local employers share jobs and training opportunities
Whether it’s looking for a new job, step up role or training to further careers, our latest jobs fair was the place to be this week. More than 250 attended the Harrow Jobs and Volunteering Fair on 30 October at Harrow College.
Both local and national employers and companies covering industries such as security, education and construction set up to meet their potential employees. Lots of face-to-face engagement, advice on CV writing, interview techniques and tips were offered to help local people find their dream job and go further in their careers.
Cllr Norman Stevenson, Cabinet Member for Business, Employment and Property, said:
"It was fantastic to speak to so many local residents who are looking for the next step in their career.
We’re proud to bring together a wide range of employers to provide career opportunities, make new connections, and offer training and development. I hope those who attended found this really beneficial to take the next step wherever they are in their career journey.
This is one of many ways we are putting residents first We’ll continue to support residents with career training and advice.”
Employment opportunities ranged from apprenticeships and volunteering roles, as well jobs in construction, finance, fitness and hospitality. Residents also had the opportunity to network with professionals and find mentors.
