Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Appropriate bodies ensure that schools provide appropriate support and challenge to teachers at the start of their teaching career. The appropriate body ensures that your school is aware of, and can meet, the requirements for ECT induction. They monitor the support provided and assessments of progress and performance. This is set out in the statutory guidance.
