The London Borough of Harrow has introduced a Grant to Move Scheme which is available to all Council housing tenants subject to eligibility.
What is the Grant to Move Scheme?
It is a scheme where The London Borough of Harrow can provide financial assistance to eligible council tenants who want to buy a property and give up their council tenancy.
Below are the two options available:
Shared Ownership
We will offer 20% of the value of a share in a London Borough of Harrow shared ownership scheme property that the tenant wishes to purchase.
This amount will be capped at £30,000 and is only available for shared ownership schemes owned by the London Borough of Harrow.
The table below gives examples of what you might get depending on the share of the property you are purchasing:

Open Market
We will offer 10% of the purchase price of any property being bought on the open market within England - capped at £25,000.
