Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is the healthiest way to feed your baby and has health benefits for the mother too.  Exclusive breastfeeding (giving your baby breast milk only) is recommended for the first six months. After that, giving your baby breast milk with other food will help them grow, develop, stay healthy and have strong emotional bonds.

Breastfeeding support group

The group provide support to mothers and babies in hospitals, primary and community care settings.

They provide information and guidance to new mums, helping to start and continue. They have a network of volunteers at Kenmore Park and Cedars children's centres

They promote breastfeeding in the community, working with healthcare professionals. They can offer multilingual support to service users.
