A Land without Music?

Stanmore Choral Society shows how british composers took inspiration from the continent. Music by Elgar, Vaughan Williams and Ethel Smyth.

Stanmore Choral Society perform 'Five Mystical Songs' by R Vaughan Williams, 'Songs from the Bavarian Highlands' by Sir Edward Elgar and two works 'A Spring Canticle' and 'Sleepless Dreams' by Dame Ethel Smyth. The Choir is conducted by Alexander Turner, accompanied by James Mooney-Dutton. Harrison Robb is the Baritone soloist who will perform songs in addition to the Choir.
