Harrow Sustain IT
Sustain IT is a project run by Voluntary Action Harrow (VAH). The Council appointed them to collect, refurbish, and distribute laptops to entrepreneurs. Our priority is to support entrepreneurs from low-income backgrounds. Various voluntary enterprises based in Harrow can refer. The project supports our commitment to promote a circular economy and minimise waste.
How is it being delivered?
VAH will run drop-off points for used laptops. The first one is at Victoria Hall, 1-3 St John's Rd, Harrow HA1 6QT. Used laptops are also being delivered direct to VAH by donors.
Used laptops are assessed, serviced, repaired, and refurbished before being donated to potential users. Beneficiaries can approach VAH directly or they may be referred to VAH via other business support programmes.
Volunteers are key to this programme. VAH are recruiting volunteers with experience of laptop repairs to fix laptops as a team.
