Young and adult carers play a valuable role supporting vulnerable people. Carers are at the centre of our health and social care system. They make a major contribution that is equal to if not greater than planned care services.
The council's strategic commissioning seeks to further develop the support offer. It works as part of the Harrow Borough Based Partnership. This offer will meet local priorities identified in the Carers Strategy. Early identification of carers is essential. We need to understand needs through timely assessment. This enables us to provide high-quality information and support. We aim to improve their quality of life, health and wellbeing.
