The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced in the budget of 2018 that £420 million is to be made available in the 2018/19 financial year for local highways maintenance across England, including the repair of potholes, to keep local bridges and structures open and safe, as well as to help aid other minor highway works that may be needed. The grant determination received by Harrow in 2018 for additional highway maintenance was £509,000. Schemes were undertaken in three locations between January and March 2019 as follows:
- High Road, Harrow Weald - carriageway resurfacing
- Chestnut Drive - drainage culvert renewal
- Sudbury Hill, Harrow on the Hill - carriageway resurfacing
