The London Borough of Harrow is seeking the views of residents on two proposals to expand permanent specialist provision at two schools, Belmont School and Grange Primary school for pupils who have severe and complex learning difficulties and/or autism.
Public Notices has been placed in the local papers asking for comments to be sent to the local authority by 7 August 2026.

Belmont school
Harrow proposes to expand special educational need provision by creating an additional 24 places at the school. The school already has a 12-place provision. These places are in addition to the published admission number of 90 places per year group and 630 in total. Total pupil numbers at the school would increase from the current 630 pupil places to 666 pupil places. Additional resources and buildings works will be carried out to support the school to meet the special educational needs of the additional pupils.

Grange Primary School
Harrow proposes to expand special educational need provision by creating an additional 6 places at the primary school. The school currently has 18 place provision. The places at the primary school are in addition to the net capacity for the school of 90 places per year group and 630 in total. Total pupil numbers at the primary school would increase from the current 630 pupil places to 654 pupil places. Additional resources and buildings works will be carried out to support the school to meet the special educational needs of the additional pupils.
