Leave your car at home and celebrate sustainable travel at our free cycling event in the town centre on Saturday 19 September, ahead of World Car Free Day on 22 September.

Join us at Katie’s Statue from 10am to 4pm; everyone is welcome for a day of free activities and expert advice.

Whether you are a regular cyclist, thinking about cycling more often, or simply interested in greener ways to travel, there will be plenty to enjoy throughout the day.

Bring your bike along for a free maintenance check with cycling specialists Cycle Confident, who will be offering:

  • Free bike maintenance checks
  • Light repairs
  • Expert cycling advice
  • Security bike marking

The service will help cyclists keep their bikes safe and roadworthy while learning tips to ride with confidence.

Prepare to be amazed as the Extreme Mountain Bike Show team delivers two  BMX stunt performances packed with daring tricks and impressive skills. Show times will be confirmed nearer the event.

Anyone looking to buy a bike can visit the Peddle My Wheels Bike Market, where a range of bicycles will be available to view and purchase.

You will have the opportunity to speak with council officers and share their views on three important strategies currently being developed:

  • Active Travel Strategy
  • Kerbside Strategy
  • Parking Enforcement Strategy

Feedback gathered will help shape future decisions about travel, parking and public spaces across the borough. Learn more about the proposals, ask questions and have your say on how Harrow's streets and neighbourhoods should evolve in the years ahead.
