Next chapter for Grange Farm underway

We're celebrating a major milestone with one of our biggest regeneration programmes.

Many residents will know Grange Farm in South Harrow – a 1960s estate built with 282 prefabricated homes which, over time, became increasingly difficult to maintain and keep warm. In 2015, the Council committed to transforming the estate, beginning a long-term regeneration programme shaped closely with residents.

Earlier this month we marked a major milestone: demolition for Phase 2A is now complete, clearing the way for 45 new affordable homes, including up to 36 council homes for remaining secure tenants of the estate. The new homes will be delivered across two blocks and include wheelchair accessible ground floor properties which will also have private gardens and improved landscaping to create safer, greener shared spaces.

Phase 2A builds on the 89 new homes already delivered, moving us further towards the wider vision of around 500 homes, a community centre and high-quality public spaces once the regeneration is complete.

This is one of our Flagship Actions, supporting our commitment to put residents first and increase access to genuinely affordable homes. It sits alongside regeneration projects across the borough, including the recent Milton Road development.

Watch the video below with Cllr Mina Parmar, Cabinet Member for Housing, and Cllr Paul Osborn Leader of the Council to see what this next chapter means for the community.
