Updates: Burst water main, Stanmore

We are aware of burst water mains affecting Uxbridge Road, Stanmore. Updates will be provided on this page as and when we receive them.

Friday 18 July 1pm

Road closures remain in place while damage to the road and footway is assessed. The closure will be in place over the weekend and re-assessed on Monday. 

This affects the area near Masefield Avenue and Chartley Avenue

Some properties have reported water damage - please follow advice from Affinity Water. You can see updates from Affinity Water

They are in the process of cleaning the carriageway, footways and driveways at the moment.

 

Friday 18 July 9.30am

This morning we were alerted to a burst water main affecting Uxbridge Road, Stanmore. Our engineers are on site with the London Fire Brigade and Affinity Water.  There is significant damage to the road and footways, repairs will be carried out as soon as our partners Affinity Water have repaired the burst water mains. 

Road closures are in place, please follow diversions.

Some residents may have missed bin collections due to the closures. We are waiting for further information to assess the situation and an update will be provided on when services will resume.
