Putting Wealdstone on the map

Join our bid for a safer and healthier neighbourhood

Harrow Council is bidding for a pot of money to make Wealdstone a safer and healthier place to live, work and shop – with less traffic, cleaner air, easier access for cyclists and pedestrians.

Here is a chance for you to have your say and influence the changes we make. Whether it’s street lights or cycle lanes, we want to hear your thoughts on how to create a better environment – or Liveable Neighbourhood -  for everyone.

We have a few improvement ideas of our own, of course  – so take a look at our suggestions on the interactive map and add anything else you think might be helpful.

Councillor Varsha Parmar, Portfolio Holder for Environment, said:

“This is a chance to really put your stamp on Wealdstone – so get creative and help us bid for the future.

“A grant could help improve open spaces, make streets cleaner and more attractive or make it easier and safer to walk and cycle. So tell us what is on your mind and let’s see if we can make a difference.

“Together we can make Wealdstone cleaner and healthier – and restore pride in a great place to live and work.”

We are aware there are anti-social behaviour concerns and a separate working group looks at this. Please report any issues here

TFL’s Liveable Neighbourhood programme gives London boroughs the opportunity to submit bids for transport-related projects. This supports the Healthy Streets project, which aims to reduce reliance on personal vehicles in favour of walking, cycling and using public transport to create a healthy city. A bid of up to £10 million will be submitted by November.
