How to apply for an Alcohol or Entertainment licence
Applications must be:
- advertised in a local newspaper and by a site notice for 28 days
- submitted with a premises plan
- submitted with a designated premises supervisor (DPS) consent form (if required)
- include the relevant fee.
A hearing will be organised within 20 working days of the consultation closing. This is to consider any objections.
Your application will be approved if we do not receive objections during this period.
You can act as if your application has been granted if you do not receive confirmation within 28 days.
Appealing a declined application
If your application is declined or if you object to a licence, you can appeal to the magistrates' court. You will need to do so within 21 days of being notified of the decision.
