This page details the process to apply for a Right To Buy (RTB) property.
We advise you to read the declarations before you sign them.
Book an appointment to complete the RTB application
You can book an appointment with us to complete the RTB application form and we'll also explain the process to you. To book an appointment email the home ownership team. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.
Documents you need to bring to the appointment
You will need to bring the following to appointment:
- proof of your identity, e.g. passport
- proof of your address, e.g. utility bill
- proof of any previous tenancy held with another social landlord, such as any tenancy agreements, to accurately calculate your discount percentage allowance set by the government
You can either sign and submit your applications at the appointment or alternatively send them, with the additional documentation, by recorded delivery or by email.
Declaration forms
The declaration forms must be completed by each RTB applicant to ensure they have not been bankrupted or had a bankruptcy petition pending against them. In addition, to confirm the property in question is the only or principal home throughout the duration of the RTB application. Please do not sign the declarations for the application process until you have read and understood them.
You may be prosecuted if you withhold information or give false or misleading information.
