Services for private landlords

Harrow Council’s social letting agency - Help2Let has a team of experts to help private landlords find the right tenant for their property and the right letting scheme.

We have a list of local people who are looking for a property to rent.

To find out more about the services we offer, as well as testimonials from some of the landlords who are working with them, visit the Help2Let website.

If you prefer not to let via the Council’s Help2Let Team we are currently working with an organisation called Capital Letters.

Landlord accreditation scheme

The landlord accreditation scheme aims to help to improve the standards within privately rented accommodation in London by working with landlords to improve their management skills and helping them to understand legislation and the requirements of local authorities.

To become an accredited landlord you need to complete a one-day development course and agree to comply with the London Landlord Accreditation Scheme code of conduct.

Find out more about the scheme.

Course fee

The cost of the course is £120 via post, reduced to £89 if booked online.

If  you are an existing Help2Let landlord and are currently letting your property on either our Tenant Finding or Leasing Scheme, Harrow Council will cover the full cost. To apply for the discount contact the Help2Let team.
