How to add the Council Tax service
You must first log in to your MyHarrow Account. If you need help registering or logging in, see MyHarrow Support.
To add the Council Tax service you will need:
- Your Council Tax reference number
- Your name (It must match the name on the bill)
- The postcode of the charged property
You can add multiple Council tax accounts.

Your Council Tax reference number
Where can I get my Council Tax reference number?
Your council tax reference number is on your bill and any other council tax letters that have been sent to you.
What should I do I have not received a bill yet?
If you have moved in recently and not yet received a bill, you will need to tell us you've moved in by completing our webform.
After completing the form, you will need to wait for the Council Tax team to send you a bill with your reference number on it.
You do not need to log in to complete this form. You can select the option to 'Continue as a guest'
How can I get my reference number if I have lost it?
If you have lost your bill and need your council tax reference number, please complete the form below.
Do not use this form to report a move or chase a bill as such requests will not be responded to.
Using the Council Tax service
If you have successfully added the Council Tax service, here are some useful tips to get the most out of it.
View your bills and letters

Follow these steps to view your bills and letters:
- On the Council Tax Summary screen select 'View my bills and reminders'
- Select the drop-down and select 'All issued'
- You will be able to download your correspondence. If you are using a mobile device you might need to scroll to the right to see the download link.
Check the progress of an application
When you apply for something online, you'll get an email receipt, This will have a reference number to confirm that we have your documents.
It can take up to 50 days to process an application.
When we make a decision, we will send you a new bill or letter. To check if a bill or letter has been sent:
- On the Council Tax Summary screen select 'View my bills and reminders'
- Select the drop-down and select 'All issued'
- You will be able to download your correspondence. If you are using a mobile device you might need to scroll to the right to see the download link.
If there are no new bills or letters, your application is still in process. Please continue to pay your most recent bill.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I see a payment on my account?
Payments are displayed on the Payment tab on the Council Tax Summary page.
Payments will appear the next working day after they are received. Please note that different methods of payments may take longer for us to receive them.
If you think a payment has gone missing, please send proof of the payment using the evidence upload form link below.
Why have I received a Reminder, Final Notice or Summons?
You can view all your correspondence by clicking on the ‘View my bills and reminders’ button on the Council Tax Summary page.
You can check what payments have been missed by looking at the Payment tab on the Council Tax Summary page.

How can I set up, change or cancel a Direct Debit?
Use our webform for Direct Debit set-ups, changes or cancellations.
How can I add someone to my council tax bill?
Only people who are liable to pay council tax will be named on the bill.
The rules of Council Tax liability that mean that sometimes not all occupants are named on the bill.

How can I report that a name is spelt incorrectly or has changed?
If there is a mistake in the spelling of your name, or if you have changed your name due to marriage, you can send the details using the links below:
