Diversity monitoring

Diversity monitoring is a process used to collect, store and analyse information about our staff, service users and communities.
It provides valuable management information that can be used to address any inequalities. In addition it can be used to assert the fairness of the services we provide to the wider community as well as in our employment and training practices.
To make sure we are consistent at monitoring across the council we have adopted a set of Diversity Monitoring Categories. This was done through consultation with directorates, stakeholders and service users.
