How the Coronavirus is affecting Civic Centre appointments

Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) threat we are not longer accepting bookings for appointments at our Civic Centre one-stop-shop.

Your health and wellbeing is important to us and we ask that you follow all advice from NHS and GOV.UK to protect yourself and others.

We are not accepting bookings for appointments at our one-stop-shop.

Below are some frequently asked questions that you have been asking. We will aim to update these regularly.

Will the main reception be open?

Yes, however this is subject to change depending on guidance from the Government.

Can I still visit the one-stop-shop?

No, government advice is to stay at home and only travel if it essential. All our service can be accessed online.

Can I still book appointment to be seen by an advisor?

No, unfortunately due to strict social distancing regulations, you can no longer book appointments to be seen by an advisor.

If you have documents to submit to us, you can post them in by royal mail, or come into the civic centre and use the post box located by the main entrance.

Please ensure all documents are placed in a sealed envelope, and clearly marked for the departments attention.

Will there be any floor walkers available to help?

No, unfortunately due to the governments guidance of social distancing, there will be no floor walkers available to help you in the one-stop-shop.

Will the computers still be available?

No, however this is subject to change depending on guidance from the Government.

Can I still hand in documents (In the internal post box)?

Yes, please only post in copies of original documents: requests to see original copies the service will contact you in writing asking to see originals copies if required.

Please ensure your documents are placed in a sealed envelope and clearly marked for the departments attention.

Will the kiosks be available?

Yes, payments can be made by cash, cheque, or debit or credit card and you will be issued with a receipt. This service is subject to change depending on guidance from the Government.
