How to get a free Rapid COVID test

How to get a free Rapid COVID test

Testing for COVID twice a week, even though you feel fine, is now recommended for everyone over the age of 11.

1 in 3 people with COVID don’t show symptoms, so regular testing is essential to stop its secret spread. You should test twice a week even after being vaccinated.

Testing can help keep infection rates low.

Sixteen local pharmacies are offering an assisted testing service, where someone will help you process your test.

You can also test at home, these test kits can either be picked up from pharmacies or delivered to your home by post. More information about home testing kits can be found on the NHS website.

There are also pop-up locations around Harrow where you can be tested. Please note that pop-up locations move around the borough on a weekly basis.

Many workplaces, schools and colleges also offer testing. Whether you test a home or a pharmacy, you’ll get a positive or negative COVID result in about 30-40 minutes.

Please remember to report your result at www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
The information helps to reduce the spread of the virus and infection rates in the community as well as protect people at risk of severe infection. You should do this every time you use a rapid lateral flow test kit and as soon as possible after you have the result.
