Kerching! Harrow Wins lotto winner scoops £2,000

One lucky winner from Stanmore has scooped £2,000 from our community lottery, Harrow Wins on Saturday 6 July.

While there is no jackpot winner yet, the weekly draw has had 226 players sign-up, raising just over £3000 for local causes so far. It has been a fantastic start for Harrow Wins but in order to hit the first year target of £16,785.60, we need more organisations on board, and that too of more players!

The winner, known only as Mr B from Stanmore, said:

“I’m so excited to have won £2,000, and can’t wait to spend it with my partner! A community lottery is much more interesting than the national lottery and there is probably a better chance of winning, I have already had two small previous wins. Why not have a bit of fun and support the local community at the same time.”

If you fancy a chance to win up to £25,000 take part in our weekly lottery! It’s £1 a ticket where 50% of it will go to a chosen cause and 10% to a central fund – Harrow Giving, supporting all good causes in Harrow.

Cllr Sue Anderson, Portfolio Holder for Community Engagement & Accessibility, said:

“Congratulations to our winner! I’d like to thank everyone who is taking part in our community lottery. It isn’t just about winning money, it’s also about fundraising for local groups too - be it charities, scouts or sports groups.

“If you’re a local group looking for a no-cost fundraising opportunity, sign up now! The more organisations that come on board, the more people will take part with better results for everyone.”
