Harrow Business Den 2018: The Final

Four entrepreneurs will go head to head in the fight to win a year’s business support at this year’s Harrow Business Den competition on 14 March.

Now in its fifth year, Harrow’s most anticipated business event is expected to be even bigger and better, and will feature special guest Akshay Ruparelia, Britain’s ‘youngest millionaire’ from Harrow.

Portfolio Holder for Business and Planning, Cllr Keith Ferry said:

“Harrow Business Den is one of my favourite events in the diary. Every year the business proposals never fail to impress me, and this year we have some strong finalists from a diverse range of businesses.

“The event itself is a fantastic opportunity for the local business community to come together. As soon as you walk into the room, you can feel the energy – everyone is bursting with passion, drive and determination. No matter where you are on your business journey, you will leave the event feeling inspired, motivated and ready for your next step in your business.”

So who are the finalists and what do they do? Each week, in the run up to the event Harrow Times will reveal one of the four finalists and their business ideas. Just like the ‘Dragons Den’ show, they’ll have to pitch their plans to a fierce panel of judges – Akshay Ruparelia, Harrow Council’s Interim Chief Executive, Tom Whiting, European leader of digital transformation, Sopra Steria and groundworks construction specialist, GFL.

Four finalists, four great ideas but only one will be crowned winner of the 2018 Harrow Business Competition.
