Harrow Council to fly rainbow flag for LGBT History Month

Goodbye January blues, we’re about to brighten things up around here.

Today marks the start of LGBT History Month and to celebrate Harrow Council will be flying the rainbow flag for the whole of February.

The annual celebration recognises the progress of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) community, their history and the equal rights movements. This year’s theme focuses on ‘Geography: Mapping the World’, following Australia and up to 16 more Central and South American nations legalizing same sex weddings.

So why not join in on the fun – keep a look out for activities and events taking place throughout the month on the official LGBT History Month’s Event Calendar.
