Could you be crowned winner of this year’s Harrow Business Den competition?

A fierce panel of judges are on the lookout for winning business ideas as entries have opened for the fifth annual awards.

Open to everyone, no matter where they are on their business journey. Whether an entrepreneur, start up or small business - it’s a chance to win a year’s worth of business support  including a cash prize, mentoring, access to training courses, publicity and temporary use of premises. There are no tricks or gimmicks involved in this deal; all you need to do is fill our application form by 6pm Monday 12 February.

Cllr Keith Ferry, portfolio holder for Business and Planning said:

“If you’ve got a business idea that you believe in, but need some expert advice to take it to the next level, enter the competition and see where it can take you. We know running your own business can be daunting, and you need all the help you can get and this is what the competition offers – vital business support.

“This is its fifth year, and the success stories from previous winners just go to show how beneficial it can be. So if you’ve got a great business idea, prove it and win it!”

If you’re shortlisted, you’ll be invited to pitch to our panel of judges at The Harrow Business Den event in March who will decide who wins this year’s Dragon’s Den style competition.

Since the competition started in 2014, all our winners have reaped huge benefits from the competition and have seen a real difference to their business. Previous winners have included Donna Williams from A Slice of Nice, Matteo Bergaminni from Shout Out UK and Conan Sammon from London Bin Cleaning Company.

Conan Sammon from London Bin Cleaning, 2017 Business Den winner said:

“Winning the Harrow Business Den competition has been great. Business is booming, we’ve added to our growing fleet of mobile pressure washing vans, moved into a new office in Hatch End and exceeded our predicted level of sales for 2017!
“Next year will be even better as I plan to purchase two competing companies and vastly grow the amount of domestic customers we serve. I’m so grateful for all the support I have received. If you’re lucky enough to win next year’s event, just be yourself, be genuine and make the most from every opportunity!”

Whether you have a great business idea, want to expand, or simply want to test a new product, this competition is open to you.

To mark five years of the Harrow Business Den, a special millionaire guest will be joining the event in March.
