’Tis the season of giving

Generous shoppers have been donating gifts for children in Harrow and this year every child looked after will receive a Christmas present!

Every year Harrow Council and Harrow Police set up a donation point for looked-after children who might not otherwise receive a gift at Christmas. This year, for the first time, the council are also able to donate some of these toys to looked-after children in neighbouring boroughs. With a total of 192 toys donated by the public, there has been an enormous amount of generosity. We have no doubt the presents will be greatly received and bring a smile to all children in care this Christmas – so thank you all!

On the subject of giving, Harrow Council really went to town with their festive knits last week during a Christmas Jumper Competition and raised more than £1,000 for Save the Children.
