Free Flu vaccine for school children

Do you have a child aged four to eight, or in Reception to Year 4 who missed the nasal flu immunisation at school?

Protect them from the flu this Winter by making sure they’ve had the vaccination – it’s free from the School Nursing Service.

Children’s Flu Immunisation Catch up Clinics will be held on the following dates at Alexandra Health and Social Care Centre, 275 Alexandra Avenue, Harrow, HA2 9DX

• Tuesday 12 December, 3pm and 6pm
• Tuesday 9 January, 3pm and 6pm

Flus are very easy to pass on, even with mild symptoms it can lead to serious illnesses, including Bronchitis and Pneumonia - so make sure they are protected. No need to book, just drop-in.

The Flu vaccine is also available free of charge to those most at risk at your local pharmacy. If you’re aged 65 years and over, pregnant, have certain medical conditions, live in a care home or your work involves caring for a vulnerable person it is recommended to get a flu jab every year.
