Rayners Lane Village Garden Triangle plans by DK-CM

Less than two weeks to go and 90% funded – now it needs your help!

A crowdfunded project that promises to transform the centre of Rayner’s Lane is on the verge of hitting its £73,000 funding target – thanks to the enthusiasm of local residents and businesses.

The ambitious plan will create an active, beautiful public space at the crossroads, outside the station. The new triangle will get rid of the tired, neglected, dark shrubbery there now – and the crime, anti-social behaviour and rats that have plagued the area.

To replace it – the project will create a “host” structure at the centre of Rayners Lane, used for pop-ups and creative projects, surrounded by a well-designed public space that designs out anti-social behaviour. It will also provide better lighting, safety improvements for cyclists and pedestrians, trees and flowers.

The crowdfunder is driven by the London Business Partnership alongside the Young Harrow Foundation and has won backing of thousands of pounds from the Mayor of London, Harrow Council and dozens of Rayners Lane businesses and residents.

With 90% of funding found – there’s now less than two weeks left – and the project needs your help to get over the line.
