Got an old boiler? We’ll help you buy a new one!

- Save £150 a year with the Better Boilers scheme - Warmer homes, healthy people - First come, first served

If you’re a homeowner on benefits and your boiler is inefficient or broken, you may be entitled to the Better Boilers scheme – who will replace or repair it for free.

Replacing an old, inefficient boiler makes a big difference. On average you can save around £150 on your energy bills, lower the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and help improve local air quality.

The £1million scheme which is funded by The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan is open to new applications until Thursday 31 August 2017. With Autumn around the corner, it really can make a profound and lasting impact – helping people stay warm and save on their energy bills.

Leader of Harrow Council, Cllr Sachin Shah said:

“This is a fantastic scheme that can really help improve someone’s everyday life and living conditions.

“We all know how expensive replacing a boiler can be, but there is no greater cost than to our health and wellbeing. Everyone should be able to live in a warm and safe home, and if you’re not because of problems with your boiler, please do look into the Better Boiler scheme.”

To be eligible you must, be a homeowner in London, be in receipt of qualifying benefits and have an inefficient or broken boiler.
