Get involved with Headstone Manor Museum, its historic buildings and beautiful grounds!

Headstone Manor & Museum

As the impressive three year transformation of Headstone Manor & Museum nears completion there are new opportunities for volunteers and community groups.

From gardening to stewarding, there are lots of ways you can get involved with the historic site and be part of something special.

Open Days are being held on Sunday 9th July and Wednesday 12th July between 11am and 2pm in the brand new Visitor Centre at Headstone Manor & Museum, in Headstone Recreation Ground. The drop-in events are for anyone interested in volunteering at the museum or people who are part of a local group who would like to work with us.

You can talk to our existing Volunteers about what they do, meet staff, and find out about all of the work taking place to regenerate the museum site. You’ll also be able to see and touch objects from the museum collection, go on a teaser tour of the site, or help our Garden Volunteers with some planting.

Headstone Manor & Museum is scheduled to re-open towards the end of 2017 and will include free access to the museum inside the c14th Manor House and c16th Small Barn, a dedicated Learning Centre in the c18th Granary and landscaped grounds. The site will tell the story of Harrow through the voices of the people of Headstone Manor past and present.
