The Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Margaret Davine said:

“Today is about honouring our heroes – both past and present - from the Armed Forces. We must never forget the great bravery, courage and sacrifices they make in order for us to enjoy the freedom we take for granted today. I’d like to thank members of the community who joined me in today’s event to show their respect and give thanks for their services – most importantly to show their support for veterans.”

This short ceremony is one of over 450 taking place across the country, marking the start of Armed Forces Week.
