Question Time – come and have your say

Published 8th January 08

Harrow Council's future spending plans and its campaign for fairer funding will be the major topics at the latest Question Time, to be held later this month.

Councillors who lead on the council's key service areas will be taking questions from local residents from 7pm at Kodak Eastman Hall, in Harrow View, on Tuesday January 22.

Residents can raise any issue they want, from housing to recycling, and rubbish collection to schools performance.

Cllr David Ashton, deputy leader of the council, said: "Since May 2006 we have held five open question times, as part of our commitment to listen to the views and ideas of residents. The feedback we are getting from people who take part is that they welcome our open and honest approach to communicating with our customers.

"From this work, we know the areas where people would like us to take more action. These issues will be given priority as we get our finances in order and look at where to invest in 2008 and beyond."

All questions will be answered, but the council says it would be helpful to send these in advance so that a full reply can be prepared. Questions should be emailed to:
