Core Strategy DPD

Adopted Core Strategy

The Council received the Planning Inspector's report on 13th December 2011 that confirmed that the Core Strategy DPD is 'sound'. The Core Strategy was subsequently adopted at a meeting of the Full Council on 16th February 2012 and is now a part of the Development Plan for the Borough.

Pending adoption by Full Council, the policies of the Core Strategy are a material consideration in any planning decision and carry considerable weight. Appendix D of the Core Strategy shows the UDP policies to be replaced upon adoption of the Core Strategy.

Core Strategy Development

Harrow Council submitted its Core Strategy to the Secretary of State on 24 June 2011 for Examination. The public Hearing sessions of the Examination were held between 27 September and 6 October 2011.
